There are many different types of animals in Belize. There are 150 types of mammals, 549 types of birds, 150 amphibians and reptiles and 600 types of fish. Examples of mammals would be armadillos opossums deer, monkey, iguanas, snakes pumas ocelots and jaguars.

Birds

There are 600 different types of birds in Belize. The 10 most impressive Birds are the Scarlet Macaw the keel-Billed Toucan, the Blue – Crowned Motmot, the Harpy Eagle the Red- footed booby, the great egret the Magnificient frigate bird, the Jabiru Stork the King Vulture and the yellow Head Amazon.

 

Fish

 The type of fish are called Bone fish, Permit ,tarpon, wahoo, Dorado, Mahi and Bill Fish.
